The Hunterland
Jano's bronze face grew pale. "What's going on in there?" he boomed gruffly towards the cockpit.
The co-pilot slid open the doors. The pilot was frantically pressing buttons on the panels to no avail. Nothing happened. "We've lo...lost all power!" came the co-pilot's slightly trembling voice. He was trying to sound confident, but Jano noticed that his gloved hands were shaking and his voice sounded panicky.
The co-pilot turned back to his seat and began to help the pilot try to turn the power back on. The ship began to feel warm. The crew and passengers were now on the edge of Earth's atmosphere.
The dreaded countdown began. One thousand feet...nine hundred feet...eight hundred...
There was nothing they could do to keep from crashing.
